Senior Commercial Analyst
Work Location: Perth
Roster: Monday to Friday
Fortescue Future Industries is currently undertaking a rapid expansion and are seeking applications for a Senior Commercial Analyst to support Fortescue's portfolio of green energy manufacturing projects.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Build, maintain and expand financial modelling and cost modelling for manufacturing projects and businesses
- Lead and initiate in depth analysis of operating and capital expenditure
- Engage with stakeholders to frame and analyse key project decisions and gather critical data
- Carry out research as requested including but not limited to market options analysis: market size, growth dependencies and risk analysis and partner analysis
- Identify and proactively raise risks and opportunities
- Working closely with Strategy and Business Development Lead in the development of business case, and subsequent input to board papers and executive reports
- Contribute to the review of project proposals including the delivery of financial analysis and review to support decision across FFI portfolio of project
- Other ad hoc tasks as required to support the Manufacturing commercial function
Qualifications and skills required:
- Strong commercial and financial modelling background
- Extensive experience in commercial and technical analysis at a similar position or senior level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Degrees in commerce, mathematics, science or engineering or similar.
- Highly motivated and proactive individual, comfortable working autonomously in a complex environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Advanced problem-solving and business analysis techniques, with an ability to report and use financial metrics to represent insights visually
- Resilient with an ability to manage competing deadlines
- Interest in renewable hydrogen and related technologies, supply chains and manufacturing
