Senior Compliance Engineer

Work Location: Cloudbreak. Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: 4:3 (4 days on, 3 days off) ex Perth

We are currently seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to work within our Chichester Hub Operations at our Cloudbreak Processing Plant

The Senior Compliance Engineer role reports to the Cloudbreak OPF Engineering & Reliability Superintendent and is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of multi-discipline personnel responsible for maintaining site compliance to legislative (statutory) and business standard requirements for Structural Integrity Management System (SIMS), Machine Risk Management Plan (MRMP) and Registered Plant (inclusive of Tanks).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide effective supervision and management of compliance related personnel.
  • Maintain compliance to legislative (statutory) and business standard requirements for Structural Integrity Management System (SIMS), Machine Risk Management Plan (MRMP) and Registered Plant (inclusive of Tanks).
  • Generate and maintain a comprehensive database to manage all compliance assets and defects, and ensure it is constantly up to date
  • Generate a reporting system that provides a clear summary and visibility for the major compliance disciplines.
  • Develop a project forecasting tool to accurately predict value and safety adding future work by assessing defect and impact severity
  • Provide support during compliance audits

Education and Experience:

  • 5 or more years of heavy industry experience preferably in Fixed Plant Ore Processing.
  • University Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Structural)
  • Experience leading & mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience working & managing Structural Integrity Management Systems (SIMS), Machine Risk Management Plans (MRMP) and Registered Plant (inclusive of Tanks).
  • Previous experience in either registered plant or structural integrity roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and SAP
