We are looking for an Senior Consultant - Internal Strategy to join our established team (PACE) of external management consultants and high potential internal members.
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to different product groups and functions and gain extensive training and development in leadership and consulting.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – PACE Consulting and working in, a diverse team within you will:
- Support PACE leaders to identify and scope consulting projects which create value for product group assets and functions
- Work alongside high performing teams and conduct analysis to identify specific business problems and help develop innovate ideas to make better business decisions
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure high level collaboration with different areas of the business
- Develop and present project findings that will deliver sustainable short- and long-term outcomes for Rio Tinto
- Take ownership of a work plan and be able to own the the final output through setting specific and achievable milestones
- Be able to develop concise and impactful written communication
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a management consulting firm or in a strategy / business improvement role
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Legal or related discipline
- Sound understanding of business improvement principles and practices
- Experience in conducting analysis as well as ensuring data is accurate and up to date
- Strong ability to interpret complex results to identify key business opportunities
- Dynamic and adaptable individual who can operate in ambiguous environments
- Experience in mining industry (preferred but not required) with operational experience is highly regarded
