The Role
Aeris is growing - at the start of FY23, the Company expanded from two to four mining operations and acquired the significant Stockman mine development project. The expansion came from the acquisition of the privately-owned Round Oak Minerals to form a dynamic and agile mid-tier mining company.
  
The Senior Contract Administrator supports Site operations, Aeris Mining and Infrastructure development teams projects at both Project and Portfolio level, in order to deliver on Capital Budget and Growth commitments.

This role is responsible for initiating, planning, administration, management and close-out of Contracting and Procurement activities and will ensure associated Governance is upheld throughout; in close collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.

Working closely with GM Projects, Group Procurement Manager and other key stakeholders , you will;
  • plan and implement best practice Contracting and Procurement strategies to satisfy both business and project requirements, which includes building mutually beneficial business partnerships with contractors, vendors, suppliers (risk-based)
  • develop, update, uphold best practice Contracting and Procurement processes, procedures, guidelines and tools (Aeris Governance), including innovation, continuous improvement and upskilling / Training requirements
  • ensure contracts for provision of goods and services, are performance based and utilise appropriate mechanisms to manage risk to tolerable levels on both contracting entity sides.
  • establish / maintain Contracting Strategy registers for all Growth Capital projects as basis for contract planning, market engagement and contract establishment / management
Other Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure all SOW’s, key market engagement documents and contract types/mechanisms are selected on basis of minimising Aeris Contractual and Commercial risk exposure.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings for works under contract (Services, Goods Supply, Site Works).
  • Lead Commercial engagement on all complex/high-risk Supply and Site Works contracts
  • General Purchasing support to Projects team including vendor pre-qualification, setup/preparation of Purchase Requests, follow-up on PO’s, Terms & Conditions.
  • Provide Change Management support / contractual interface for any Changes, Variations under Contract
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law (desirable), Engineering, or Construction Management (Contract Management focused); or equivalent experience
  • Industry experience in Resources and/or Heavy Industries, with demonstrated roles in Projects environments/capacity (Sustaining and/or Major Projects
  • Exposure to basic Project Management principles.
  • Proficiency in Market Engagement (EOI/Tendering/Contract formation/execution).
  • Excellent understanding of statutory requirements, company policies and procedures and how these operate during the life cycle of an asset
  • Knowledge of contemporary electronic data management and document control systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, SharePoint and MS Teams; and User knowledge of Pronto, ERP or equivalent
  • Current ‘C’ Class drivers licence and a willingness to travel  to remote business locations across NSW, QLD, VIC & WA.
The Company
  
We’ve had a big couple of years! In FY2021 Aeris Resources acquired Cracow Gold Mine in QLD and enjoyed exploration success at our exciting Constellation deposit at Tritton Copper Operations in NSW in FY2022.

In FY2023 Aeris completed its acquisition of Round Oak Minerals adding two additional producing mines to our portfolio, Jaguar in WA and Mt Colin in Qld, and the Stockman project. In future we expect to grow again.

This growth positions Aeris as Australia’s next mid-tier base and precious metals producer. Aeris will produce more than 60ktpa copper equivalent, roughly doubling our operating footprint.
