Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist- Green Fleet Development 

Work Location: Perth/Hazelmere/Belmont

Roster: Monday to Friday

As the Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist – Green Fleet Development you will work collaboratively with the Green Fleet and Green Industry teams providing support with the contracts and procurement process for FFI’s Green Fleet Development, including taking a leadership role within the Green Fleet contracts and procurement team. You will assist with leading, sourcing, contract execution, implementation, delivery and close out of contracts and procurement activities.  

This position would be best suited to an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a high level of flexibility, is strategic and proactive with strong stakeholder engagement abilities.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Lead, develop, coordinate, and evaluate sourcing and tender packages for Works, Capital Equipment and services
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, to support project schedule and budget
  • Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with Contracts and Procurement policies and procedures
  • Develop well written, well-structured procurement documentation that supports the project requirements
  • Identify and maximise cost and schedule saving opportunities
  • Generate reports, innovative commercial models, and market analysis to support procurement decision-making
  • Identify and evaluate key risks at contract formation and seek input from other functions as appropriate (e.g. technical, legal etc.)

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Bachelor degree in commerce, business, law, or construction desirable
  • At least 7 years of contracts experience (Principal and/or Manufacturer) within Mining or Similar Heavy Industries 
  • Understanding and ability to apply various commercial models to deliver best cost and schedule outcomes
  • Understanding of contractual concepts to enable proactive and efficent contract negotiation 
  • Demonstrated experience in internal and external stakeholder engagement across multiple disciplines
  • Ability to lead, guide, coach and assist in mentoring a team of contract and procurement professionals 
  • High level written skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Extremely well developed analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven and takes initiative to progress and deliver own and team/unit work
