Senior Designer - Civil

Macmahon’s civil entity, TMM Group, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer to join the Brisbane design team.

TMM Group delivers design and construction services to the resource, mining, energy and infrastructure industries across Australia. The TMM design team delivers a variety of civil designs from prefeasibility and concept studies, through to full detailed design.

The Senior Civil Designer will be responsible for performing civil design duties planning, designing and developing drawing sets for civil infrastructure projects including but not limited to: earthworks, roadworks and intersection, drainage, dams, levees and sediment basins. This role also includes the leadership and mentoring of other designers and drafters.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

•    Earthworks design and modelling utilising 12D for engineering projects in accordance with general engineering principles and standards.
•    Road and Intersection Design to applicable authority or client standards and requirements.
•    Drainage Design, calculations and modelling
•    Providing design data for drafting, surveying and engineering applications.
•    Supporting civil operations tendering and execution
•    Leading others in civil design and drafting duties
•    Reviewing others design and drafting works.

Key role requirements (essential) are:

•    10+ Years in a similar role
•    5+ Years utilising 12D Model Software
•    10+ Years’ experience with AutoCAD software
•    Competency in MS Office Suite

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:

•    Exposure to designs of drainage, roads, levees and dams
•    Experience with DTMR Design Projects
•    Demonstrated leadership of a design team
