Senior Electrochemist - Manufacturing
Work location: Dawson Rd., Perth Airport
Roster: Monday to Friday
Key accountabilities:

- Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment
- Creatively contribute to the team in a positive manner while achieving stretch targets
- Provide technical input into current and all future designs participating amongst leaders in the technology development team
- Utilise your electrochemical knowledge to develop and improve green energy technologies via advance materials development
- Develop analytical methods for process solutions used in electrochemical devices and the evaluation of cutting edge materials
- Interface with engineering group to translate basic research into commercial systems and applications
- Design, plan and conduct experiments and write technical report findings
- Participate in documenting, testing and validation of material selections within product development engineering teams
- Ensure IP protection of developed methods and processes through translating scientific research into patents
- Lead the research and development of advanced electrochemical materials
- Participate the delivery of sustainability activities
Qualifications and skills required:
- PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Engineering or Organic Chemistry
- Experience with electrochemistry, materials development, electrocatalysis, and green hydrogen production
- Experience in polymeric membrane materials selection and catalyst materials selection
- Experience in metallic and no metallic materials selection for a advance engineering applications
- Outgoing attitude with a passion for and commitment to delivering excellence
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects as well as participate in an integrated group in time sensitive situations
- Fluent spoken and written English language skills with additional foreign language skills advantageous
- Strong computer literacy
