Senior Electrochemist - Manufacturing

Work location: Dawson Rd., Perth Airport 

Roster: Monday to Friday

Key accountabilities:

• • Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment
  • Creatively contribute to the team in a positive manner while achieving stretch targets
  • Provide technical input into current and all future designs participating amongst leaders in the technology development team
  • Utilise your electrochemical knowledge to develop and improve green energy technologies via advance materials development
  • Develop analytical methods for process solutions used in electrochemical devices and the evaluation of cutting edge materials
  • Interface with engineering group to translate basic research into commercial systems and applications
  • Design, plan and conduct experiments and write technical report findings
  • Participate in documenting, testing and validation of material selections within product development engineering teams
  • Ensure IP protection of developed methods and processes through translating scientific research into patents
  • Lead the research and development of advanced electrochemical materials
  • Participate the delivery of sustainability activities

Qualifications and skills required:

• PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Engineering or Organic Chemistry
• Experience with electrochemistry, materials development, electrocatalysis, and green hydrogen production
• Experience in polymeric membrane materials selection and catalyst materials selection
• Experience in metallic and no metallic materials selection for a advance engineering applications
• Outgoing attitude with a passion for and commitment to delivering excellence
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects as well as participate in an integrated group in time sensitive situations
• Fluent spoken and written English language skills with additional foreign language skills advantageous
• Strong computer literacy
