Job Description
The Production Process Engineering team at Kwinana is a technical team dedicated to achieving safe, reliable production by improving capability through innovation, technology and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Superintendent, the primary focus of this role is to provide Process Engineering support to the operations group in achieving the business outcomes of Sustainability, Production and Cost. You will be responsible for managing the Area Process Engineer in addition to identifying and implementing initiatives that will improve site safety/environmental performance, production capacity, product quality and reduce operating costs.
This position is a Monday to Friday roster with flexible work options available, including Part Time / Job Share opportunity.
About You
You will play an integral role in the Process Engineering team by:
Encouraging and leading collaboration across teams to resolve issues and improve refinery process control, standardized work methods and equipment upgrades in a way that fosters a healthy and harmonious work place.
Effectively managing the Area Process Engineer performance to achieve the business KPIs and delivering measureable outcomes through coaching, regular feedback and one-on-one conversations
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
You will be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work individually as well as part of a diverse team to achieve the required results.
Personal qualities will include strong interpersonal and influencing skills, a high level of safety awareness, strong communication and well developed analytical skills.
You will be tertiary qualified in chemical engineering, metallurgy or another relevant discipline and will have experience in technical and/or operational roles in a chemicals, minerals processing, petro-chemicals or similar industry environment.
As part of the recruitment process for this position you may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and participate in a background screen including a criminal history check, identity check and qualifications check.
