About the Role
Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent Mine Maintenance (Mobile Fleet), this role will help to drive defect elimination, continuous improvement and ensure delivery of the plan within Mobile Maintenance and the wider Mine area.
The role will be based at Olympic Dam on a 5/2 Residential or 5/2, 4/3 FIFO roster out of Adelaide, offering flexible work arrangements.
In this role you will:
- Coach and support other team members;
- Assist the team / Business to evaluate and prioritise work;
- Review work, ensuring it meets the required level of quality;
- Provide specialist advice, execute defect elimination process and undertake Reliability improvements focused on the end-to-end maintenance system; inclusive of defects in parts, procedures, work quality and processes;
- Build cross-functional relationships with other Reliability sub-functions and benchmark performance with other BHP Operations;
- Provide input, preparation and review maintenance budgets;
- Produce the operating standards, procedures and work instructions for locally governed equipment strategies;
- Perform detailed analysis of condition monitoring data and action accordingly, initiate maintenance strategies and/or changes to both globally and locally governed equipment strategies to address emerging risks;
- Create and optimise maintenance strategies, initiate and approve Master Data requests for updating maintenance procedures, work instructions and control systems coding where relevant;
- Validate work plans are in place for critical controls and monitor the effectiveness of the plans;
- Analyse life of plant, equipment and infrastructure to determine equipment capability assumptions based on the 2year Production plan;
- Develop scope and justification for Reliability and cost improvement projects. Initiate, implement, monitor and record them;
- Initiate and complete engineering requests (via 1SAP Work Management) on behalf of the Maintenance function to improve equipment safety and reliability;
- Provide technical expertise to the Execution sub-function to support work quality and safe execution of maintenance work;
- Work closely with other functions within the organisation including Maintenance & Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE), supply, contracts, projects and production departments;
- Provide input into the training strategies, training matrix, content and schedule for the Mobile Maintenance team to improve capability and equipment reliability.
About You
- Hold yourself and others to account whilst ensuring your behaviour is always respectful;
- Experience and interest in coaching, mentoring and developing the skills of other team members;
- Safety conscious, with proven ability to demonstrate risk management and HSEC behaviours;
- Passionate about maintenance, continuous improvement and reliability / defect elimination;
- Experienced in defect elimination, facilitating root cause analysis and investigations;
- Experience with following a management of change (MOC) process;
- 1SAP experience is preferable;
- Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritise tasks;
- Be a team player, but also be able to work effectively unsupervised and be highly self-motivated;
- Ability to communicate well across multiple levels and disciplines.
