Senior Exploration Geologist

Work Location: Portugal

Role overview:

The Senior Exploration Geologist will operate under the values of Fortescue and under high standards regarding health, safety and environment, with high respect to the communities where Fortescue operates.

The Senior Exploration Geologist will work within a diversified and skilled exploration team, including geologists, HSE advisor, community advisor, procurement advisor, field assistances and camp workers

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work with external or multi-discipline teams to address geological problems
  • Develop and lead robust exploration work programs, namely with communities, granting all environment authorizations, etc  
  • Assist on internal and external quarterly, semestral or annual reports, namely to regulatory entities

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Degree qualification in Geology or related area
  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in exploration projects
  • Previous experience in Critical Minerals exploration
  • Ability to communicate and interact on all levels
  • Language - English – Portuguese
