The Role
Aeris Resources are investing significantly in exploration in FY23 to unlock further value at the Tritton Copper Operation following the recent discovery of the Constellation deposit. With a large tenement holding and a significant proportion under-explored there is a real opportunity to find more deposits and Aeris are backing the exploration team to do so.

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Geologist to support the exploration projects at Tritton, you will be working on an 8/6 roster and get the benefit of being supported by an experienced managerial & executive team, while growing your career on an exciting project in a booming commodity.
Reporting to the Regional Exploration Manager your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Demonstrate proactive safety behaviours.
• Oversee field-based exploration programs including drill campaigns, geophysical surveys, soil sampling and geological mapping.
• Co-ordinate and participate in reporting and communication for the exploration team.
• Identify, coordinate, and participate in continuous improvement and project generation.
• Co-ordinate and manage geological inputs and participate in exploration planning functions.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology
• Minimum 5 Years’ experience as an exploration geologist, principally working in a hard rock environment.
• Advanced knowledge of structural geology
• Some experience in exploration for structurally controlled mineral systems.
• Ability to work to tight timeframes and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using MapInfo, Leapfrog, and Acquire is desirable.

The Operation
Tritton Copper Operations employs more than 400 people and is in Hermidale in Western New South Wales.  Tritton has two underground copper mines (Tritton and Murrawombie) and the current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
