As Senior Finance Analyst you will provide financial and commercial insights and support to the site operations and management teams, with a key focus on business planning, month-end reporting, cost analysis, forecasting, performance reporting, and capital management.

Who we’re looking for  

We are seeking an experienced Finance / Commercial Analyst, with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. You will be able to effectively convey financial and commercial concepts to non-financial stakeholders across all levels of the business and play a key role in supporting sound commercial and operational decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing Monthly Cost Accounting and Reporting Activities
  • Preparation and critical review of operating and capital budgets/forecasts, in compliance with forecast and reporting schedules.
  • Co-ordinate the Quarterly Business Planning Process for specified departments
  • Site and Departmental cost and performance reporting.
  • Effective analysis and insights to site commercial and operational stakeholders.
  • Capital project review, management, and reporting.
  • Partnering with operational stakeholders to identify and implement cost and operational improvement opportunities.

You will have demonstrated experience in providing commercial and business partnering support; in an operational mining environment, or similar complex heavy industrial operations environment.

Additionally, you will also have:

  • Tertiary-level qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or related discipline
  • CPA/CA Certification, or working towards
  • Previous experience in a similar a similar Business Analyst or Management Accounting role
  • A strong knowledge of key business drivers and analysis
  • Confident interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and be proactive in a complex environment with strict timelines
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering financial and commercial information and concepts to non-financial operational stakeholders.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, software, and system skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, integrated ERP systems, preferably SAP
