Pit N Portal are currently seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the team. Based at our Osborne Park office, this role will report to Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of nominated site monthly P&L and production physicals
• Report the monthly P&L results of the nominated sites
• Analyse Mining Services Division business performance and reporting of KPI’s on Daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Identify business improvements opportunities within the division, including processes with regard to the reporting requirements of all Emeco business groups
• Partner with Management, Production Analysts and Senior Mining Engineer to develop and maintain accurate KPI data base and reports
• Partner with Site PM’s, and division GM’s to assist in tracking weekly and monthly KPI’s, including profitability and provide insight on divisional earnings
• Participate in wider Portfolio Management activities as required including market analysis and operations and ad hoc analyses and project work
• Managing and mentoring Project Accountants reporting to you
• Regular site travel as required
• Ensure all reconciliations are completed and reconciled
• Ensure Australian Accounting Standards are followed at all times

Required skills / experience & attributes:

• 3 years’ experience within a business analyst environment, (preferably mining related)
• Commercial knowledge of the mining Industry as relevant to contracts and related financial project drivers
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel
• Sound knowledge and understanding of production drivers and constraint theory.
• Sound knowledge of management accounting principles.
• Track record of managing teams and delivering outcomes.
• Analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to develop best practice solutions.
• Ability to build relationship with stakeholders at multiple levels in multiple locations
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to apply knowledge and understanding of competitive/commercial business principles to arrive at sound business decisions.
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to respond quickly to change and evolving priorities.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
