Senior Geologist Tenements

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking a Senior Geologist Tenements to work with the Strategic Planning Drilling department. This role requires knowledge and experience with WA tenements reporting, WA Mining Act, different drilling methodologies, drill planning, geological processes, data collection, reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design Strategic Planning drilling programs to meet tenements expenditure commitments
  • Design Strategic Planning Tenements Reports for tracking purposes
  • Manage and assist in the capture of data relevant to Strategic Planning Tenements
  • Initiate and implement improvements in data capture, workflows/processes, and accountability

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience preferably within the drilling or mining industries
  • Demonstrated experience in geological roles
  • Experience working with WA tenements and the WA Mining Act and Regulations is highly desirable
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel or tools for tenements reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
