We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team in Perth.

Based in our Perth CBD office, this role combines office-based consulting with adhoc site travel across Australia and the Globe. You will work across a diverse portfolio of underground and open pit mining operations, delivering practical geotechnical solutions that improve safety, productivity and business outcomes for our clients

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

• Champion a strong safety culture with a clear commitment to zero harm for people, environment and community
• Deliver high-quality geotechnical engineering solutions across a range of mining operations

• Deliver technical reviews, audits and governance activities across multiple sites to ensure compliance and best practice

• Review Ground Control Management Plans (GCMPs), support standards and TARP frameworks.
• Support stope design, slope stability assessments, crown and sill pillar design and overbreak analysis.
• Work directly with operational teams to improve ground control practices and geotechnical risk management.
• Participate in incident investigations, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support mine planning teams with schedule optimisation and geotechnical design input.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders across a range of operations.
• Coach and mentor developing engineers and technical professionals.
• Contribute to technical excellence, business improvement initiatives and growth opportunities across Orelogy.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' geotechnical experience within the mining industry.
• Experience across underground mining, with exposure to open pit operations highly regarded.
• Strong site-based experience and confidence working across multiple mining operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in rock mechanics, ground control and geotechnical risk management.
• Strong technical report writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience using industry software such as Rocscience Suite, FLAC and Map3D.
• A collaborative consulting mindset focused on delivering practical and commercially sound solutions.
• Flexibility and willingness to undertake Australian and international travel, including site visits, operational support and client-facing engagements.
• The ambition and capability to progress toward a Principal Geotechnical Engineer role.
