We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor - Energy Resources Australia to provide Human Resources operational support to our ERA team. You will perform daily HR functions, complex case management, as well as managing RT Projects, implementing and maintaining a master schedule and ensure Business Improvement methodologies are applied as appropriate. This role will enable you to be a part of a world class rehabilitation project that will set the gold standard for closures.
Energy Resources of Australia Ltd (ERA) is a publicly listed company with Rio Tinto its major shareholder. ERA previously mined and produced uranium oxide from its Ranger mine in the beautiful and rugged Alligator Rivers area of the Northern Territory. The Ranger mine is located on Aboriginal land, and is surrounded by, but separate from Kakadu National Park.
The Ranger Mine Closure Project is rehabilitating the Ranger Project Area to a standard whereby it could be incorporated into the Kakadu National Park. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and adventurous individual to partner with the business in the delivery of what is a world class project.

Reporting to the HR Manager and working in a collaborative community, you will be:
- Implementing HR Service and support by coordinating and delivering the required HR generalist activities in order to meet regional objectives aligned to business unit HR plans;
- Providing specialist and generalist operational and tactical HR support to Human Resource Business Partners, line managers and all employees within diverse client base that consists of a range of functions and Business Units/ Product Groups;
- Supporting the HR Manager and HR Business Partner in deployment of projects, interventions and recurring annual activities such as salary review, talent review and change management;
- Supporting the HR Manager & HRBP's with coordination and execution of special projects related to closure (e.g. employee engagement, performance & capability improvement, attraction and retention initiatives);
- Implementing fit-for-purpose HR processes, practices and systems to build organizational and people capability (e.g., talent management, performance management, remuneration and rewards, sourcing, mobility management, retirement and benefits, employee/industrial relations) within HR service delivery;
- Providing complex or sensitive case management service for all areas within the employee lifecycle, advising on HR, employee relations, regulatory issues (across multiple jurisdictions), acting as subject matter expert and providing coaching to team leaders and employees to support effective workplace relationships.
What you will bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Bachelor degree in HR or other relevant field
- Solid HR generalist experience or a combination of HR Generalist and HR specialist experience is required, preferably in the resource sector.
- Track record of HR project delivery, commitment to service excellence and excellent customer relationships
- Experience working with clients at all organization levels and relationship building and customer service skills in a cross-cultural environment
- HRIS experience strongly preferred (preferably with MP-SAP)
