We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Managed by Yancoal, Cameby Downs is a small open cut thermal coal mine in the Surat Basin in southern Queensland, between Chinchilla and Miles. We employ approximately 180 people, and aim to support our local communities.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and the role will require you to:  •   Provide advice regarding interpretation of the site's enterprise agreement and other legislation and industrial instruments as required •    Assist with the promotion of the Yancoal Values and with the implementation of culture change projects •    Provide advice and assistance with performance, discipline and grievance management •    Provide advice on remuneration and benefits •    Design and implement local HR improvements

Skills and Experience

• Sound experience providing generalist HR advice and support to Supervisor's and Managers
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships
• Strong time management skills
• Strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Current unrestricted drivers licence
• Standard 11
