Join Force by Emeco as a Senior HSET Advisor in Perth, supporting WA-based workshops. This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with the HSET Superintendent to ensure safety initiatives, including training development and documentation, are executed effectively. Regular site travel is required. We're seeking a dynamic self-starter with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Educating and implementing organisational policies and procedures for national HSET strategy
  • Leading incident investigations and providing timely reporting on HSE metrics
  • Conducting workplace inspections, audits, and delivering HSE training programs
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with regional managers
  • Promoting a culture of HS&E and ensuring legislative compliance
  • Coach and train managers on HSE issues
  • Support development of Safety Health Management System
  • Assist with implementation of safety related systems and software packages
  • Review and development of project and task specific risk assessments
  • Ensure high-level maintenance of safety records
  • Monitor compliance through audits and inspections
  • Assist in managing employee injury and fatigue coordination
  • Develop and deliver training packages
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and training standards
  • Support development and maintenance of HSE policies

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Health & Safety, Cert IV in Training & Assessment
  • Certification in workplace auditing and incident investigation (ICAM preferred)
  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in mining or mobile equipment exposure

Skills and Experience:

  • Technical competencies in HS&E, LEAN principles, legislative requirements, and change management
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in HSE
  • Experience with LEAN principles and process improvement
  • Previous experience in high-risk safety environments
  • Strong understanding of legislative requirements
  • Proven ability to drive cultural change
  • Familiarity with management systems (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management systems
  • Demonstrated experience in change management
