What does your daily life look like at Yancoal?
The primary role of the Senior Internal Auditor is to lead internal audits as the in-house specialist and perform a wide range of technical and administrative responsibilities to manage the delivery of audits in the IA Plan. The key responsibility areas for this position are:
- Support the Group Manager, Audit in developing the tactical plan for the execution of the annual IA Plan.
- Lead, execute and / or take responsibility for the execution of planned and ad-hoc audits, and data analytics across a broad range of operational, financial and compliance audits and annual China SOX audits.
- Provide guidance to team members / co-sourced auditors in the execution of internal audits.
- Review work performed by service providers and chair PMO meetings with service providers.
- Negotiate with, influence, and manage stakeholders of the IA function from Executives to Junior management.
- Write, review, and proactively communicate internal audit findings and conclusions via structured IA reports.
- Support the Group Manager, Audit to run the day-to-day operations of managing the IA function.
What do you need to be successful in the role?
To be successful in the role you will require the following skills: Qualifications:
- Graduate in either a business, accounting, finance, engineering, ICT, or similar discipline.
- Certification(s) such as CPA, CA, CIA, CISA or similar OR Engineers with strong internal audit experience.
Experience:
- At least 5 to 7 years full-time prior experience in an internal audit and SOX role whether in a Corporate Auditing environment or Accounting Firm or a combination of the two.
- Working in complex and mature industries such as mining, metals, manufacturing, utilities, logistics and / or FMCG environment (based on type of experience).
- Experience in performing data analytics to perform control testing using advanced Alteryx and Power BI / Tableau.
- COSO Internal Controls Framework and SOX compliance / ICFR requirements.
- Risk and controls identification and prior experience in developing Risk Analysis and Controls Matrix (RACMs).
Skills:
- Proficiency in English – Read, Write, Speak.
- Mathematical and statistical skills.
- Project management, Time management, Active listening, Ability to apply common-sense and logic, Critical and Analytical thinking, Attention to detail, Stakeholder management, Performance management.
- Process mapping.
Tools:
- Advanced MS Excel data analytics and dashboard preparation skills.
- Proficiency across the Microsoft suite of applications.
