Senior - Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to join our team. You will manage and co-ordinate safe and efficient transportation of Domestic and International Heavy Haulage Shipments and external hire fleet and international freight requirements, ensure ensuring competitive pricing and fit for purpose quotes are considered with each move. 

About you

• Knowledge of Earthmoving and Mining Equipment, as well as load restraint guidelines on heavy haulage loads. 
• Strong understanding of the MRDWA and interstate Permit systems and the chain of responsibility.
• Able to source and provide Packing Lists with dimensions and weights on the breakdown of mining and construction equipment to be transported.
• Able to check quote information provided by Transporters, regarding trailers being used and their suitability to meet MRDWA and other requirements.
• Experience in Heavy Haulage equipment moves and international shipment requirements.
• Being able to set reasonable delivery schedules for Heavy Haulage transport, knowledge of Curfews/ Fatigue requirements etc. 
• Understanding of lashing requirements.
• Provide weekly Reports monitoring equipment movements .
• Provide monthly reports on equipment movements from a cost perspective.
• Liaise with General Freight for synergising cost opportunities .
• Current Australian C Class Driver’s License.
