Senior Maintenance Engineer – Tom Price Residential

About the role

All progress begins with pioneers. At Rio Tinto, it begins with you. We are looking for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our Tom Price Fixed Plant team. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced engineering professional individual to evolve this newly formed team. 

This will be a Residential based role in Tom Price working Monday to Friday, having every second Friday off, giving you time to spend with your family, explore the nearby Karijini National Park or do the things that matter to you.  

Reporting to the Superintendent Plant Operation Services Tom Price, you will:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Maintenance Engineers whom are providing technical support, solutions to fixed plant maintenance and operations teams via fault finding, repair and shutdown support.
  • Champion the Defect Elimination process enabling the prioritisation and execution of the right work to deliver sustainable asset improvements in partnership with the site based reliability team
  • Liaise with production teams to achieve the best outcomes for production and the asset.
  • Act as point of communication between different teams and sites maximising the benefits of working in a matrix organisation.

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Strong communication, written and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to problem solve
