Senior Planner - Central Services (NPI)

Work Location: Fortescue Centre & Bennett St - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday to Friday with frequent Ad hoc site travel.

The Senior Planner - Maintenance Planning reports directly to the Maintenance Planning Superintendent and will be responsible for safely delivering excellence in availability and reliability of NPI assets and supervision of maintenance Planners and Materials Logistics Officers. This also includes but is not limited to ensuring the support of NPI maintenance functions in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, enabling the site NPI teams to meet present and future business needs.

This role is also responsible for the management of SAP master data, working closely with the Asset Management team to ensure best practice in Floc and strategy management. This role is Perth based with regular ad hoc site travel required and has a 5-day working week. The successful incumbent will also have a keen attitude towards supporting decarbonization initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Champion the embedding, sustainability and continuous improvement of Work Management processes
  • People management
  • Maintain KPI’s to provide up to date weekly monthly reporting to management and other stakeholders
  • Provide written weekly flash reports to the Maintenance Manager
  • Provide accurate planned maintenance reports
  • Ensure issues are escalated to Management as required
  • Develop and maintain a system to plan and schedule maintenance
  • Complete Budget reviews, Plan, Actual and forecast reporting (Cost Control)
  • Foster an environment of frugality in the team and capture cost savings to demonstrate (Spend Control)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning and logistics skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Change & Maintenance Management
  • Safety Leadership including demonstrated in field leadership (interactions)
  • Advanced cost control and budgeting skills
  • Coaching and Mentoring and performance management
