Senior Management Accountant
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Fortescue is seeking an experienced management accountant to join a fast paced, dynamic working environment to support a broad range of corporate departments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Business partnering with the corporate support departments to effectively assist and manage financial performance
- Coordination and delivery of Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts for GM review and approval
- Financial reporting and analysis to support multiple business units and identify and drive value adding opportunities and business improvement initiatives
- Working closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight critical to decision-making
- Co-ordinate and deliver month end close including monthly journal postings and reconciliations and ad hoc projects as required by Finance
- Identifying opportunities and driving change to improve financial systems and reporting within the division and group.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CA/CPA qualification and 3+ years management or financial accounting experience
- Detailed working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel
- Ability to navigate through new and evolving processes with a solutions based focus
- Proactive, confident and self-motivated with strong analytical and engagement skills
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with numerous stakeholders and competing demands and deadlines
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
