ABOUT PERTH OFFICE

South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a permanent position on a Monday-to-Friday basis. This role will be based at our head office in Perth.

As Senior Manager Investor Relations, you will be responsible for developing and communicating our key messages to our owners and ensuring that our shares reflect their full and fair value over time. Communicate South32’s financial, production and sustainability performance, strategy and prospects, to Investors and Research Analysts in a transparent manner and in accordance with securities law.

• To support the Vice President, Investor Relations, in providing leadership and deliver overarching coordination and central oversight of South32’s investor relations governance, strategy and reporting
• Develop and communicate a coherent equity proposition for investors
• Identify current and potential key investors and research analysts with an interest in South32 and actively engage with them to ensure our shares reflect their full and fair value over time
• Support the investor communications and engagement program comprising consensus, financial and operating results, roadshows, analyst briefing on industry trends or other topics of interest, operational site visits and investment conferences

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• 8-10+ years’ experience in equity markets or a large, complex business
• Ability to communicate company strategy, financial performance, growth opportunities and business initiatives to ensure a positive external profile and full market value
• Create presentations, press releases and other communication materials for reports, industry events and presentations to analysts and investors
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including analysts, brokers, institutional investors and shareholders
• Communicates transparently and unambiguously with senior leadership team members and the wider organisation
• Creates trust, is inclusive and collaborative whilst coaching and developing others  

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline such as Finance, Commerce, Engineering or Mining
