We are looking for a Senior Manager - Technology Deployment to be responsible for maximizing the value of our R&D investments by ensuring the successful deployment of demonstrated new technologies.

This would be an amazing opportunity for an experienced leader with a proven ability to articulate the value proposition of new technologies in collaboration with relevant assets and target businesses. You will have a track record of engaging and leveraging senior stakeholders within an organisation to drive and sustain deployment efforts.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Development, and working in a challenging and collaborative environment you will :
Drive the realisation of the full potential value of our R&D investments through the deployment of new technologies across the business.
During the deployment phase, package and articulate the value proposition of new technologies for various businesses and assets across Rio Tinto.
Create deployment roadmaps across Product Groups (PGs) and Functions (FNs), prioritising based on potential value.
Collaborate with receiving PGs and FNs to drive the delivery of deployment roadmaps, ensuring integration with our broader Development & Technology (D&T) technical offerings to the businesses.
Have experience in crafting strategic problem statements, detailed assumptions, recognised metrics and outlining implementation costs, resources, timelines, dependencies, sensitivities, and risks
Be skilled in preparing design plans, identifying suppliers/partners, and providing documentation, training and technical support resources.
Possess a track record in forming and leading joint innovation/asset teams for successful implementation and operation
What you’ll bring
Proven experience in deploying and supporting new or established technologies, with a strong emphasis on change management, stakeholder engagement at multiple levels, and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
Ability to apply both technical and commercial perspectives to complex problems, adapting deployment strategies through experience in influencing teams and individuals beyond direct reporting lines.
Expertise in solving complex problems and leveraging innovative solutions.
Capability to work independently and lead teams without direct positional authority.
Skill in developing implementation plans that consider human behavior in technology adoption.
Experience across multiple commodities and industries.
Familiarity with a range of product improvement and business improvement techniques and tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts.
Experience in governance in complex organisations.
