ABOUT CANNINGTON 

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a permanent position on a 4:3 roster, FIFO every 2nd week from Townsville/Brisbane or DIDO from Mount Isa to Cannington.

As the Senior Master Data Strategist, you will provide technical support for asset management and reliability at Cannington while ensuring compliance to the South32 Asset Management Standard and Master Data Policies and an effective ERP is in place.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

  • Timely execution of master data work, tracked in the weekly Asset Management meeting and improvement notifications.
  • Interpret standards, such as ISO55000 and others, to guide decision-making.
  • Interact and communicate with all levels of the production functions.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

  • Significant experience working in a similar role ideally within the mining or heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the creation and modification of SAP foundation master data.
  • Comprehensive understanding of asset management theory for the integration of new projects and the improvement of legacy equipment.
  • Proven stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex system tasks with multiple contributing factors.
  • Ability to work within maintenance and engineering teams, providing and receiving feedback.

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Bachelor in Engineering or Trade qualification with some tertiary study.
