The purpose of this role is to develop, deploy and continuously improve maintenance work management strategies for the Refinery by providing specialised A&I support and expertise. Ensure the effectiveness of work strategies and work plans whilst meeting legislative and statutory requirements

This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.
Location
This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 - 50 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
Accountabilities
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Encourage, mentor and coach peers and colleagues across operational areas to follow the SAP process by promoting operating discipline
- Lead and promote discipline in engineering work, verify quality of completed tasks and enhance technical knowledge of team members and other Engineering employees in regard to the mechanical discipline
- Build and develop equipment maintenance strategies for all equipment within the operational area of responsibility. This includes ensuring adequate information is captured in the task list and associated work instructions to perform the intended tasks to the required standard safely
- Provide input into the maintenance budget based on the preventative and corrective Maintenance work strategies in SAP
- Identify all equipment requiring inspections and repairs based on legislative and statutory requirements and create Safety Critical Equipment master data in SAP. Develop and deploy maintenance strategies to meet the requirements of Safety Critical Equipment. Ensure adherence to these statutory plans in SAP
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in applicable Engineering and/or Science discipline
- At least 10 years’ experience working in a technical role in the resources sector
- Ability to apply specific problem-solving skills as required by the Operation
- Has suitable Technical Expertise and knowledge of the Operations to inform on decision-making, to be subject matter expert within the organisation and take responsibility for planning, designing and implementing technology solutions that meet the needs of projects or operational areas.
- Substantial knowledge of other functions, and how they interface to complement each other
