Minara Resources has an opportunity for a skilled Senior Mine Production Engineer to join their team.

The Role
The successful candidate will become part of a proactive and committed team who are responsible for the provision of mine design and scheduling services over the short-to-medium term planning horizon.
You will be responsible for:

  • Providing direction and assisting with the coordination of the production engineering team;
  • Provision of mine designs and schedules to satisfy business requirements over the short-to-medium planning horizons;
  • Monitoring of ore blending requirements;
  • Reconciliation and delivery of mine performance and rolling schedules;
  • Excavator production field guidance; and
  • Adding value through continuous process improvement.
About You
This role would suit a tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with proven production / mine planning experience; who is looking to work towards gaining experience in supervision and management of a team. You will also have:
  • Previous experience in an open pit mining environment;
  • Enjoy participating in strategic mine planning activities including, in-pit tails, generating pit designs and infrastructure layouts;
  • Past exposure to mine design and scheduling software;
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively; and
  • Unrestricted Quarry Managers’ Certification would be advantageous.
