Based in Western Australia, Go Engineering operates across two complementary streams — a Perth‑based consulting team delivering study and technical support, and a Contracting Division providing high-quality, site-based engineering support to mining operations across the resources sector.

Our Contracting Division focuses on placing experienced engineers directly into client operations — supporting open-pit and underground mining through FIFO and site-based deployments across production engineering, mine planning, drill-and-blast, statutory coverage, mine startups, and operational improvement.

About the Role

We are looking for Senior Mining Engineers (Open Pit and Underground) to join our contracting division in full-time, permanent positions.

As a Senior Mining Engineer (FIFO / site-based), you will be deployed directly to operating mine sites across Western Australia, providing hands-on production engineering and mine planning support in either open-pit or underground environments.

You will play a key role in:

• Supporting day-to-day production

• Leading short- and medium-term planning

• Improving site performance

• Mentoring engineers

• Providing trusted technical advice to site leadership

This is a high-impact, operational role suited to engineers who thrive in site environments and can deliver value from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver senior-level site-based mining engineering support to client operations.

• Lead short- and medium-term planning (production schedules, sequencing, execution)

• Support production engineering, drill and blast, and operational decision-making

• Review and optimise mine plans, schedules, and site processes.

• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.

• Mentor and support graduate and mid-level engineers onsite

• Contribute to statutory compliance and technical reporting requirements.

Your Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in mining engineering roles (open pit and/or underground)

• Strong background in production engineering and site-based operations

• Experience with mine planning and scheduling software (Deswik or similar)

• Solid understanding of mining methods, safety systems, and operational constraints

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support site teams

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously on-site

• Manual (C-Class) driver’s licence and full Australian working rights
