Rothsay Gold Mine is a satellite underground operation specialising in super‑narrow vein gold mining. Ore widths across the mine are exceptionally narrow, typically between 1m and 200mm, with stopes being mechanically mined at sub-1m widths. This is technically demanding, precision‑driven mining, and it’s an exciting time to join a high‑performing team delivering safe, efficient, and innovative underground production.
Reporting to the Mine Manager, the Senior Mine Planning Engineer is to understand, review and work to standard processes and systems relating to mine development, production and infrastructure planning to ensure the mine is operating as safely, efficiently, consistently and profitable as reasonably practicable. Collaboration is required with all stakeholders for the delivery of detailed mine and infrastructure designs and schedules tailored to meet short, medium and long term targets set by the Underground Mine Manager.

- Ensure the successful functioning of the ventilation and infrastructure systems (power, water, vent, compressed air, comms, drainage) of the mine and associated surface areas, through appropriate planning.
- Assist the Mine Production department or any other functions or departments as required by the Underground Manager.
