About the Role
As one of Australia’s largest mines and most complex minerals processing operations, it’s quite unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver.
This is an exciting new role where you will combine your technical expertise in Mine Development with a challenging and interesting project scope of the Southern Mining Area Decline at BHP Olympic Dam.
This position is being offered as 8/6 Wed-Wed Day Shift, FIFO from Adelaide to Olympic Dam or Residential in Roxby Downs.
In this role you will:
- Support BOS Managing Operational Performance and Improvement Projects processes
- Liaise with different levels within the organisation to implement improvement initiatives
- Build and maintain close working relationships with contracting partners, providing expertise as required inclusive of QA/QC on mine development
- Support procurement, cost, project controls and reporting
- Lead management of change and risk assessments processes
- Be an interface between operations and other functions, contractors, suppliers etc
About You
- Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering or other closely related tertiary qualification
- Underground metalliferous mining experience
- Understanding of the mine development cycle
- Some projects experience, including schedule, cost and quality
- Risk management and management of change exposure
- Strong communication skills which allow effective engagement with both management and contracting partners.
- Attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to work with data
- Experience with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Webex, Deswik and similar is preferred.Uphold our values of ‘Do what’s right”, “Seek better ways” and “Make a difference”
