Exciting new opportunity for a Senior OT Specialist to join the Emeco team.

In this role you will play a critical role in delivering and supporting Emeco's mining operational technology solutions directly to customers. This customer-focused position combines technical expertise with project management to ensure the reliable operation of our Emeco Operating System (EOS) technology platform. The role encompasses both hardware and software components of our fleet management solutions, and other similar OT solutions in around mining fleet, with primary responsibility for providing remote customer support, managing cloud infrastructure, and delivering technical support when required.

What you’ll do:

Customer Support & Service Delivery

  • Provide primary remote technical support for EOS customers, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across fleet management systems. Coordinate and execute on-site customer visits for system installations, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, regular system health checks, and rapid issue resolution, in conjunction with the OT PM’s
  • Collaborate with customers to optimise their use of EOS technology and identify opportunities for enhanced value delivery
  • Manage and monitor incoming support requests, ensuring timely response and resolution
  • Coordinate support resolution within the team and the greater organisation should additional resources be required
  • Coordinate hardware installations, replacements, and upgrades across customer fleet assets
  • Maintain technical documentation for hardware configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices
  • Support field testing and validation of new hardware components and technology solutions

Cloud Infrastructure & System Management

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based EOS infrastructure
  • Manage planned and unplanned system outages and breakdowns, implementing rapid response protocols to minimise customer downtime
  • Coordinate with cloud service providers and internal teams to resolve infrastructure issues and implement improvements
  • Perform regular system health assessments, capacity planning, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Support cloud system upgrades, patches, and deployments in coordination with development teams

Technical Project Lead

  • In support of the OT Project Managers, contribute to technical aspects of customer implementation projects from initial deployment through go-live support
  • Coordinate cross-functional project activities involving hardware installation, software configuration, and system integration
  • Support new customer onboarding processes, ensuring smooth transition from sales to operational support

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related field) or equivalent technical qualifications
  • Experience in OT, fleet systems, or IoT/telematics environments
  • Strong understanding of industrial hardware, networking, and cloud platforms
  • Proven ability to deliver technical support and manage service levels
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Full Australian working rights

Desirable:

  • Experience in mining, construction, or heavy equipment industries
  • Knowledge of OEM systems (e.g., Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi)
  • Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, or field-based testing
