We are seeking an engaging and safety focused Senior Planner to lead our Gudai-Darri team, accountable for safely maintaining our assets through effective preparation and delivery of maintenance planning and scheduling.

You will partner with operational and other key stakeholders to provide efficient maintenance planning and productivity solutions and ensuring best practice work management processes are understood and adhered to.

Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Management working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Asset Management & Engineering Services, you will bring:

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing, and coaching team members
• Demonstrated ability in meeting targets and bringing the team on a journey of continuous development
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated complex problem-solving abilities to deliver solutions across an operation
• Experience and understanding of fixed plant maintenance planning (desirable)
• Experience in preparing annual budgets and costs management
• A current WA Driver’s license

Where you’ll be working

Our $A3.6 billion Gudai-Darri iron ore mine is ourmost technologically advanced mine. In addition to leveraging technologyalready in use across Rio Tinto, such as autonomous trucks, trains and drills,Gudai-Darri also has more than 70 design innovations including a reclaimer witha rotable bucket wheel, a world class laboratory and in-field access to dataand systems for all team members. The Caterpillar mining fleet at Gudai-Darriincludes autonomous trucks, production drills, and in a world first, autonomouswater carts.   Located 110km north-west of Newman, Gudai-Darriwill produce up to 43 million tonnes of iron ore a year in its first phase,contributing to our flagship product, the Pilbara Blend™. It will also become aproduction hub for our iron ore business, incorporating world classinfrastructure and a 166-kilometre rail line connecting the mine to ourexisting network.  Gudai-Darri is creating jobs and businessopportunities in Western Australia. More than 2,000 people have been employedas part of its construction with approximately 600 permanent operational rolescreated.
