Senior Planner – Energy Operations
Work Location: Fortescue Centre. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
Reporting to the Major Maintenance Manager, this role will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance planning for the Energy Operations team across the Fortescue Energy assets.
Leading the planning team and promoting process discipline related to the work management processes. You will be accountable for the delivery of effective maintenance plans and schedules. This role is also accountable to deliver and drive improvements on the end-to-end maintenance cycle effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure adherence to weekly maintenance budgeting and that weekly maintenance plans & schedules meet minimum KPIs each week.
- Performing gap analysis on work improvement/master data metrics utilising the Plan-Do-Check-Act to improve planning and scheduling processes.
- Ensure quality and completeness of work management master data to support the planning and scheduling process.
- Facilitate performance reviews, identify gaps and engage the relevant stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Coach and develop end users on SAP maintenance planning process and SAP work management.
- Ensuring budgets are managed within limits and in order of established priority and in compliance with Company Financial Policy.
Education and Experience:
- Demonstrated commitment to Fortescue’s values and achieving an incident and injury free environment.
- Demonstrated ability to select, develop, coach and mentor employees resulting in improved engagement, diversity, and organisational capability
- Considerable experience in a similar role gained in maintaining aero-derivative gas turbines, reciprocating engines, fixed plant and electrical networks. Mechanical or Electrical trade or Engineering qualification is highly desirable.
- Strong supervisory, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results.
- Demonstrated experience in managing events throughout the shutdown lifecycle within the power station, utility, oil and gas, refining or a complex process industry
- Flexible, adaptable and work well under pressure in a fast-paced demanding environment.
- Strong understanding of dispatch and maintenance strategies.
