About the Role

The role can be based in Perth, Brisbane or Adelaide.

In this role, you will provide technical expertise in the development of vendor relationship management, contract and sourcing strategies, planning, administration and management of contracts, review, analysis, negotiation, and close out of contracts.

The core focus of role is the management of the Engineering Services Panel (19 vendors) and the Quality Assurance / Quality Control Panel (3 vendors).   

Responsibilities:  

  • Develops safe project delivery and contractor performance strategies to maximise portfolio value and enhance improvement and innovation.  
  • Manages contract estimation, execution and analysis of contract performance to maximise operational and financial performance, and mitigate exposure and risk.  
  • Evaluates risk profiles, project drivers, and contracting options to inform the development of contracting strategies. 
  • Define sourcing scope/requirements and prepare/develop contract strategy:
  • Apply an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value.  
  • Integrate and drive a culture of sustainability across the value chain.
  • Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.  
  • Gains support for and negotiates outcomes that achieve mutually beneficial goals.  
  • Interact and lead within an international context.
  • Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.  

About You

  • Extensive experience in Procurement and Contract Management roles within Mining or similar industries
  • Proficient in managing medium to high risk/value contracts.
  • Good understanding of risk management and sound commercial knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships in a geographically dispersed environment.
  • Outstanding skills in negotiating and managing complex contracts. 
  • Strong understanding of risk and compliance management 
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively both internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
