Work with peers and superintendents across related functions (Maintenance, Production, Engineering and HSEC) to solve problems and deliver improvements in safety, cost and production. This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities. As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie. |
Accountabilities
Technical/ Operational Support
- Lead and develop a small team of Production Improvement Specialists
- Identify, prioritise and execution of safety, cost and production improvement initiatives across the Refinery
- Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate cross functional teams to deliver rapid solutions
- Supervision of contractors in the execution of small capital projects
- Support/ input into the Refinery Operating Strategies
About you
- A strong drive for problem solving and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral English
- Excellent communication skills, able to work with all levels of the business from the shop floor to management teams
Skills
- SAP
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience
- Experience in an Alumina Refinery is essential (minimum 10 years Operations/Production experience)
- Leading or coordinating cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability in delivering improvement initiatives or small projects
- Capital project and/or contractor supervision and management well regarded
