ABOUT THE ROLE

FFI has identified the opportunity to develop a green ammonia facility at Gibson Island, Brisbane, through construction of a hydrogen production facility and refurbishment of an existing gas-based ammonia production facility, owned and operated by others.

Reporting to the Project Services Manager, the Senior Project Document Controller, is responsible for project document control activities across the Gibson Island H2 Project green hydrogen plant, providing full document control support in accordance with FFI policies, procedures and work instructions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitor all project/corporate registers and information systems in respect of documents, drawings, scope, design variations etc
  • Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and vendors to ensure correct information is available in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process and management of project Document Control requests and reviews
  • Management of project documents and records
  • Management of project document distribution
  • Implement controlled and managed data and document transfer between stakeholder organisations including FMG, FFI, consultants, contractors and clients
  • Oversee and assist with project kick-off and close-out activities and archival management
  • Monitor process compliance and resolve as required
  • Provide input into team strategies and plans
  • Business support for project document and records management
  • Contribute to supporting business documentation
  • Facilitate relevant training
  • Achieve and maintain effective communication with the project delivery team, and other internal and external stakeholders at all times.
  • Carry out additional tasks as may be required from time to time by the Project Services Manager.
  • Participate in Quality initiatives and suggest modifications or improvements to current procedures if required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 

  • 5+ years’ experience working in project document control within a resources environment
  • Demonstrated experience utilising the document control systems and processes for large-scale, complex capital projects
  • Sound understanding of document control systems, methodologies, processes and techniques
  • Strong internal customer service experience
  • Strong attention to details
  • High level of computer skill with advanced Microsoft Word and MS Office package abilities
  • Requires excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to solve practical problems
  • A proactive attitude.
