Senior Project Engineer 

Work Location: Eliwana

Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster: 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth

Role overview:

The senior project engineer oversees the delivery of the full sustaining capital portfolio and works in a team of multi-disciplinary engineers with a key focus on capital project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all projects are delivered within the Project Management Guidelines
  • Manage and develop a pipeline of projects to assist with Medium and Long Term Capital Planning
  • Carry out early engineering work for future OPF projects to ensure these projects are budgeted correctly
  • Develop project business cases to obtain capital funding as required
  • Scoping projects and work with third parties as required to generate designs
  • Manage site contractors during project execution
  • Manage project budgets and assisting with cashflow forecasting and reporting

Education and Experience: 

  • A strong background in project management & stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with budgeting and capital management essential
  • Proficient in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project is desirable
  • Proficient in SAP highly desirable
  • Project management qualifications or training highly regarded
  • Demonstrated years of relevant Fixed Plant experience is desired.
