We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join the team based in our Brisbane CBD Office as a Senior Project Engineer.

The Nitty Gritty

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Senior Project Engineerplays a key role in delivering Aeris' strategic capital projects. Based in our corporate office, with site visits required, you'll be supporting projects from concept through to commissioning, working closely with operations, contractors, and consultants to deliver safe, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions. You'll drive project performance across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk, ensuring every project creates lasting value for our operations.

What you Bring:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline OR maintenance trades background.
  • Demonstrated Project Engineering experience in the Resources, Mining, or Heavy Industry sectors, delivering major and sustaining capital projects, with expertise in project delivery, risk and change management, electrical infrastructure, OEM coordination, and commissioning.
  • Strong technical understanding of engineering design, equipment selection, and practical application across mining operations, including underground mining and mineral processing environments.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary work packages across design, procurement, construction, verification, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Sound understanding of statutory obligations, industry standards, company procedures, and their application throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with contract management principles, contractor performance, and delivering projects safely and effectively within agreed scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across operational, technical, and corporate teams.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Current unrestricted C Class driver's licence

Brisbane Corporate Office

Our Brisbane corporate office is the central hub supporting Aeris’ operating sites, development projects and care and maintenance teams across Australia. From here, our technical specialists, sustainability professionals, geology and exploration teams, and finance and people experts partner with our site teams to drive safe, efficient and productive performance.

Alongside day‑to‑day operational support, the Brisbane office provides strategic oversight and guidance - shaping plans, setting priorities and aligning operational delivery with Aeris’ broader business goals. This ensures our sites have what they need to operate safely and effectively today, while positioning the company for future growth and opportunity.
