Senior Project Engineer

Macmahon is inviting applications from experienced Senior Project Engineers for an exciting opportunity we have at our Fimiston Project where Macmahon is transforming 390 hectares of land for Northern Star into a tailings dam facility. The team enjoy quick, easy FIFO travel from Perth to Kalgoorlie.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Senior Project Engineer ready to embed themselves in a thriving organisation in a role with incredible growth potential. 

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering, technical and contract support and assistance to the Project 
• Assist in the preparation of construction programs and monitor progress, manning levels and productivity analysis including budget and costs 
• Comply with the site systems of progress recording, site diaries and photographic recording 
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specification, drawings, and management plans
• Coordinate item procurement, site personnel, subcontractor agreements and engineering deliverables  
• Assist with all EOM financial reporting 
• Participate in client meetings and subcontractor meetings  
• Carry out scoping, monitoring, inspections and reporting 
• Administer site management of subcontractor activities as per control limits  
• Daily interface with client within authority levels including attending and contributing to meetings
• Identify and advise on all contractual and commercial claims related to works
• Ensure early notification of any commercial, contractual issue or conflict
• Resolve construction issues within authority limits
• Provide assistance and direction to Project QMR, Site Admin and Site Engineer

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
• 10+ years’ experience within Civil & Project Engineering roles
• 5+ years’ exposure to multi discipline Civil and Infrastructure Works
• Exposure or experience with estimating, tendering, Work schedules and Project Controls tools
• CPEng & RPEQ viewed favourably but not required
• Drivers Licence (manual)
