We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer – Civil to join our next mine development feasibility study at Hope Downs. You will play a key role in overseeing the development of the civil and earthworks design and developing key components of the execution strategy for the implementation phase.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to be involved in a business-critical project. The project offers a challenging and interesting civil engineering scope that will build and develop both your Technical and Project Management skill set. There is an ongoing opportunity to see the project through to implementation and commissioning phases.

Reporting to the Project Manager working in a collaborative professional team you will be:
- Overseeing development of civil engineering scope by specialist contractors on behalf of the owners team
- Forecast, cost analysis and project estimating
- Reports on engineering progress, cost and scheduling to meet engineering reporting requirements
- Supporting engagement and performance of external engineering contractors
- Supporting compliance with standardised processes, systems and tools
- Works with project planning and scheduling to develop and maintain the project schedule
- Developing safety maturity for construction readiness
- Coordinating procurement activities for civil engineering packages.
What you will bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Strong communication skills, and an ability to influence change
- Experience leading projects and/or work packages
- Demonstrated complex problem-solving abilities to deliver creative solutions across an operation
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering is essential
- Road design, Bridge or bulk earthworks design experience highly desirable.
