Senior Project Manager

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday - Friday

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager, to support the Project Team for project and facilities delivery for the People Operations Strategy team and demonstrate the ability to deliver projects under tight timeframes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project feasibility; including site inspections, due diligence reports and budget costings
  • Design process management with focus in identifying risks and establishing risk mitigation processes and establishment of project teams, including design consultants, certifiers, and other consultants required
  • Lead in management of Town planning, Development Approvals, Building Approvals and any statutory or compliance requirements, and tender management with strong contract and variation negotiation skills
  • Project Delivery of commercial office fit outs, facility upgrades and end to end commercial developments including warehouses, distribution centers and/or laboratories
  • Oversee Project Programs from inception to handover to make sure adherence with key deliverables
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor in either Construction, Architecture, and/or Project Management
  • At least 9+ years of relevant experience in project management either for a client, consultancy, or contractor
  • Strong understanding of Australian legislation, Australian building standards and council regulations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and practice of health and safety guidelines during the delivery of projects.
  • Formalisation of scope, execution of contracts and budget monitoring is critical. 
  • Review and understand architectural/engineering drawings, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
