Queensland Metals are seeking suitably qualified and experienced applications for the position of Senior Project Metallurgist. This role directly reports to the Superintendent – Metallurgy Projects, the primary outcome of this role is to deliver on Metallurgy projects, which contribute towards improved metal production. This position will be offered on a 5/2 4/3 or 9/5 roster.

Your key responsibilities include:
In this role, you will be an integral leader of the Processing Technical Services team and aid in further building a safe, productive and effective workplace where teams are empowered and supported to achieve business objectives
The successful applicants will have:
To succeed in this role you will possess a degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing and a minimum of 5 years of experience with a strong background in base metal flotation (Cu, Pb, Zn), project management and process improvements. You will be a self-driven individual who shows interest in the development of mineral processes and is keen to further develop technical and project management skills. You will have an uncompromising focus on safety, strong attention to detail in problem solving and troubleshooting as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
