Senior Project Scheduler

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

The Studies team is seeking an experienced Senior Project Scheduler with a strong background in Primavera software to join our team. Reporting to the Principal Scheduler, the successful candidate will establish, manage, and maintain cost-loaded project schedules to ensure the successful execution of future studies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera software
  • Integrate project schedules with cost-loaded information, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project budgets
  • Perform scenario mapping and risk analysis to optimise project timelines and resource allocation
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful management and execution of projects
  • Provide regular project schedule updates and reports to stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in project scheduling methodologies and best practices

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within the mining and resources sector
  • Strong expertise in Primavera software, including P6 or later versions
  • Demonstrated experience in cost-loaded schedules, leading forecasting efforts and scenario mapping
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
