Senior Rail Integration Engineer

Roster: 5/2 Roster (Mon to Fri)

In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet

Based at our new Redcliffe Office and reporting to the Green Fleet development Integration Principal, we are presently looking for an experienced Senior Integration Engineer to join the team.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Responsible for the integration, validation and testing of Green Fleets Infinity rail project in a safe, timely manner and in accordance with all ISO/IEC and relevant standards
• Work in collaboration with the broader multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical/electrical/electronics/software) as well as the project management and workshop execution teams to achieve system level testing and integration of the Infinity project
• Act as a SME in all aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle with a focus on developing capability and process within the project team

Qualifications and skills required:

• Electrical/Mechatronics/Mechanical/Systems/Software Engineering degree
• Engineering experience in the rail industry

• Experience in all phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Product development experience with locomotives and/or rail systems highly desired
• Experience in requirements development and management tools highly desired
• Experience with SiL & HiL frameworks advantageous
