Senior Reliability Engineer

The Opportunity – Senior Mechanical Engineer - Based in Collie – 9-day fortnight work pattern

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Analysis & Improvement, the purpose of this role is to provide specialised technical Engineering support and expertise to ensure ongoing reliability of plant and equipment and effective Maintenance Execution.  The Senior Engineer will have a team of five direct reports.

Accountabilities:
•    Deliver key strategic projects, initiatives and trials to improve safety, reliability and cost
•    Lead, develop and mentor a team Maintenance Specialists in the areas of safety, risk management, cost reduction and continuous improvement
•    Ensure master data integrity and quality work design documentation though leadership of Maintenance Specialists
•    Provide guidance on the technical direction of work, risk and cost and ensure the timely delivery of improvement initiatives 
•    Lead an improvement culture by ensuring support for Executions’ team improvement initiatives
•    Support budgeting and cost management activities for Maintenance Execution
•    Conduct structured reviews using proven methodologies to improve maintenance strategies, optimising equipment reliability and maintenance costs

About you

•    Tertiary qualifications in applicable Engineering and/or Science discipline
•    Extensive experience working in a Reliability Engineering role
•    Proven capability to operate in a complex environment, leading and facilitating diverse teams
•    Proven ability to mentor and coach
•    Ability to stimulate others through depth of knowledge, influence others as idea leaders and building strong networks across the business
•    Experience in minerals processing highly regarded

Location

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities. 
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
