About the role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity based at our Appin mine.

Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Management & Reliability, you will provide technical leadership and be accountable for asset management and reliability across surface services, the washery and coal clearance at our Appin operation.

Key accountabilities:

• Execute strategic asset management plan actions
• Support compliance to the South32 Asset Management Standard
• Evaluate the impact of mine plan, capital, and/or budget changes on asset management plans and strategy
• Execution of the major root cause analysis (RCA) process and actions to improve asset operating performance
• Deliver services in accordance with the Asset Management & Reliability Service Level Agreement (SLA)

About you

You will have significant experience working in a similar role within Mining or Heavy Industry with safety being at the forefront of everything you do.

To be considered for the role, you will have:

• Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent
• Asset management expertise
• Strong business acumen
• Ability to understand and manipulate complex technical information and communicate to internal customers
• Demonstrated ability to select, develop, coach and mentor employees resulting in improved engagement, diversity and organisational capability

Location

This position will be based at the Appin mine which is in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
