ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Superintendent A&I as Snr Reliability Engineer, the purpose of this role is to provide specialised technical Engineering support and expertise to ensure ongoing reliability of plant and equipment and effective Maintenance Execution. This role will be offered on a Permanent basis.
This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes – bus available from Bunbury location only) and other nearby scenic communities.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.
key responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Deliver key strategic projects, initiatives and trials to improve safety, reliability and cost.
- Lead, develop and mentor a team Maintenance Specialists and Reliability Engineers in the areas of safety, risk management, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance on the technical direction of work, risk and cost and ensure the timely delivery of improvement initiatives.
- Lead an improvement culture by ensuring support for Execution team improvement initiatives.
- Support budgeting and cost management activities for Maintenance Execution.
- Conduct structured reviews using proven methodologies to improve maintenance strategies, optimising equipment reliability and maintenance costs.
ABOUT YOU
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to apply specific problem-solving skills as required by the Operation.
- Utilise key performance data to inform decision-making and identifying and acting upon opportunities for increase productivity and efficiency.
- Ability to Identify opportunities that support business priorities for continuous improvement and Well-Designed Work.
Desirable
- Post Graduate qualification in engineering/ management
- Tertiary qualifications in applicable Engineering and/or Science discipline
- Several years working in the experience working in a technical role in the resources sector
- Proven capability to operate in a complex environment, leading and facilitating diverse teams. Experience in Bayer Process
