Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team tasked with ensuring a strong asset management program is in place to support the business operations now and into the future. The role involves:

  • Identifying and implementing solutions to improve availability and performance of site assets.
  • Assist in the development of operating and capital budgets, and cost controls associated with saset management.
  • Audit, analyse and report on performance trends and improvement opportunities to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership to support capital projects planning and implementation

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same or similar position
  • Experience in the management and maintenance of longwall, development, conveyance, surface services & CHPP equipment.  
  • Experience in writing technical documents
  • SAP experience (highly desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of Coal Mining Work Health & Safety legislation, Australian Standards and MDG’s
  • Highly motivated and proactive attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making ability
  • Ability to deliver and manage deadlines
