Minara Resources has an opportunity for a knowledgeable Senior Safety Advisor to join our established and dedicated team.

Our Murrin Murrin Site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful candidate will become a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed Health & Safety team who are responsible for providing safe and compliant workplace for all of personnel on Site.

You will be responsible for:

• Reviewing, updating and implementing the MMO H&S Management System and associated procedures;
• Undertaking inspections and audits of the workplace to monitor levels of compliance with standards, procedures and legislation;
• Contributing to our continuous improvement strategies by developing, implementing and maintaining procedures and safe systems of work;
• Assisting with developing and implementing safety initiatives to increase safety awareness;
• Leading incident investigations, preparing reports, managing corrective actions, and communicating lessons learned; 
• Mentoring, coaching and developing Safety Advisors in the performance of their roles.

About You

This role would suit a qualified and experienced safety professional seeking a family friendly, Site-based role with real career development and advancement opportunities.  You will have:

• Tertiary Safety qualification;
• Auditor qualification;
• ICAM Lead Investigator accreditation;
• Senior First Aid, Confined Space, and Working at Heights certificates (advantageous)
• Previous experience working within processing, refining and surface mining environments; and
• Current manual WA driver’s licence;
